Juvenile Services




The Tallahassee Leon County JAC is a comprehensive assessment center providing 24-hour screening and assessment of arrested youth. The JAC contains a secure booking and receiving area and offers a shared juvenile data bank with local law enforcement. The Tallahassee Leon County JAC also accepts and handles requests for assessments from the Department of Juvenile Justice for the outlying counties of Liberty, Gadsden, Wakulla, Jefferson, Madison, Taylor, and Franklin.

Tallahassee Leon County JAC is a collaborative effort between city, county and state law enforcement, court officials, Department of Juvenile Justice, Leon County School Board, and various private non-profit agencies.

About DISC Village

DISC Village, a non-profit community-based agency, has been in operation for nearly 40 years and is one of the largest and most comprehensive prevention, intervention and treatment agencies in Florida. Through the years, DISC Village has become recognized as a leader in the state for initiating, managing, and coordinating delinquency and substance abuse prevention/intervention programs in Leon County and North Florida.

The agency grew from a Drug Information Service Center located on the grounds of Florida State University.
