Juvenile Civil Citation

Civil Citation Network

The Juvenile Civil Citation program has been serving youth under the age of 18 for more than 20 years across the State of Florida. This statewide process is designed to provide an alternative to formal judicial handling for misdemeanant offenses in hopes to prevent further criminal interaction and appropriately address the offense without creating a criminal record.

Eligibility for the Civil Citation program is determined by local law enforcement officials based on requirements that have been set by the local steering committee. Successful completion of the program is determined by completed sanctions such as online behavior change interventions, community service, apology letters and drug screening.
