Vocational Services

The goal of vocational programs at DISC Village is to enable participants to become employed in a suitable job, make progress toward self-sufficiency goals and provide opportunities for practicing real-life social and academic skills.  DISC Village uses a curriculum designed to assist clients in transition achieve success in their educational/vocational transition goals and have clearly defined timelines with measurable goals and outcomes.  The key points of the "Pathways To Success" guide include:

  • Identifying Dreams, Interests and Skills

  • Planning for Life After Graduation and Moving Toward Independent Living

  • Transition Planning

  • Identifying Positive Path Behaviors and Supports, and,

  • Identifying Educational/Career Paths.

Vocational Services Offered

The vocational/skills training are offered in the following areas:

¨      Culinary Arts/Food Services Management

¨      Printing technologies

¨    Distance Learning

¨      Microsoft certification
