Maureen O'Brien

Clinical Supervisor

Ms. O’Brien has a Master of Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years’ experience in providing a variety of counseling and case management services to individuals and families suffering from substance abuse and mental health disorders, including geriatric care and children’s services.

 

Her current duties as a Clinical Supervisor and Counselor include but are not limited to: conduction of Medicaid Brief Behavioral assessments, Clinical oversight, individual and group counseling for adults and their families, and supervises multiple outpatient offices throughout the Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla and Taylor Counties.

DISC Village, a non-profit community-based agency, has been in operation for nearly 40 years and is one of the largest and most comprehensive prevention, intervention and treatment agencies in Florida. Through the years, DISC Village has become recognized as a leader in the state for initiating, managing, and coordinating delinquency and substance abuse prevention/intervention programs in Leon County and North Florida.

The agency grew from a Drug Information Service Center located on the grounds of Florida State University.
